Bacon-Wrapped Vegetarian is something that has been bouncing around in the back of my mind for some time. It started as a bit of a Napolean complex. Being a vegetarian means having to prove yourself every time you meet someone new, and even to people you’ve known for a while. Sometimes it’s just genuine curiosity. Many times, people will dismiss you as somehow lesser; I think this has more to do with a deep seated need to outcast the unusual and make oneself feel better. I don’t know; I’m not a therapist. I’m a vegetarian. I don’t eat meat. But one thing I have come to understand is that almost everyone enjoys a good meal, but doesn’t always know where to find it.
That is the goal here: to find the good places to eat and spread the word.
The intent behind Bacon-Wrapped Vegetarian is to share good food that can be enjoyed by all, or at the very least, most. Many of these posts will contain a blurb about a meat dish. Usually, it won’t be very detailed because these are my experiences. Sometimes, they will contain vegan dishes, though those are much harder to come by. I encourage and solicit recommendations from you, the reader (preferably if they are in Philadelphia, PA, USA, but I’m open to anything). I can’t guarantee these posts will always be about food either, but there will be posts. I hope you enjoy them.
